Designing a Useful Intranet

I did this project as a proof of concept of what a useful intranet could look like. The existing intranet site was content heavy and hard to navigate. There was so much information that it was difficult for the user to find what they were looking for.

My idea for this design was to center the interface around each individual user. The interface would show them the things that apply to their position, department, or location. The user could also customize their interface to show the widgets useful to them and hide the ones that weren't.

Rapid Prototyping

To properly show the animation that this design would have, it needed a prototype. Along with the help of a UI developer, I prototyped my design to bring it to life. See the prototype
